Imgiebah Bay

Imġiebaħ Bay, Il-Mellieħa, Malta, malta

Imgiebah Bay also has other name which is Selmun Bay people prefer it better cause of the pronunciation. It’s a truly a gem of a beach that is located in the north-eastern side of Malta.

Imgiebah Bay is an isolated sandy beach which makes it perfect location to avoid the mad crowds and noise. This sandy beach can be accessed from a narrow road opposite the Selmun Palace.

There is no public transport to this sandy beach and by car it’s still not easy to get to it. It’s often said that it’s a ‘great adventure’ to get to this beach in itself and amazingly some people (including Maltese ) get lost trying to remember which road exactly leads to this beautiful beach.

If you wish to take the trouble to climb down the cliff path to get to it, but believe me it’s worth the visit and only few people know about this place. At times the sea gets rough here so please if you can avoid it but when it’s calm its great place for snorkelling and surrounded by amazing natural beauty.

Unfortunately Imgiebah bay has no beach facilities so make sure to bring your own water, food and of course umbrella to protect yourself from the sun.

We hope you will enjoy your holiday on our Maltese islands and don’t forget to check other places of interest on our interactive map.
